For Trey's first electric shows in 2008 after taking time off from touring, he returned to the roots of his ever-morphing solo projects by performing two shows with "Classic TAB."

Comprised of original band members Russ Lawton (drums) and Tony Markellis (bass) who comprised the rhythm section for Trey's first solo project, 8 Foot Fluorescent Tubes, Classic TAB is rounded out by another longtime friend and collaborator Ray Paczkowski (keyboards).

Now, for his February 2010 tour, Trey has added horns back into the mix. "I have a lot of horn-based material", says Trey, "and I realized that I really needed three horns to make it happen - a tenor, a trombone and a trumpet. At one point the horn section was as big as five people. But if you write economical arrangements, you can sometimes make a richer sounding chord with less people, less voices. "So for this tour in February, we're going out as a septet (7-piece) -- it's sort of lean and mean."

Russell Remington of Giant Country Horn fame anchors the horn section, playing tenor/baritone saxophone and flute. TAB Alumnus Jennifer Hartswick joins on trumpet and vocals. And a new-comer to Trey's band is Natalie Cressman on trombone and vocals.

"I'm bringing a lot of new material to the table this tour" Remarks Trey, "But we still plan to play classic stuff like "Cayman Review" and "Push On 'Til The Day" from my first album and some songs off Shine - "Sleep Again," "Wherever You Find It" and "Sweet Dreams Melinda."And we're including material from The Horseshoe Curve, like "Olivia" and "Burlap Sack & Pumps." There's also a song called "Goodbye Head" that's on Bar 17 that I always thought could be good but we never really had time to get at it fully -- it's pretty complicated."

The band is currently deep in rehearsals preparing for their month-long tour in February. Tickets go on sale through public outlets starting Thursday, January 14th.
